Each horizontal bar represents a corpse, and its length indicates duration of the corpse. The corpses are ordered according to the time of their appearance in the embryo. Scoring of corpses in N2 (A) was discontinued at ~400 minutes, because the twitching movement made observation of corpses difficult. For B and C, cell corpses were scored until the end of the time-lapse recording at 668 minutes (B) and 797 minutes (C) after first cleavage, respectively.
