confirm localization in premigratory and migratory neural crest. Owing to the
caudal to rostral gradient in avian development, these stage 10 embryos are
illustrative of multiple events in neural crest development, including
induction (open neural plate), premigratory (dorsal neural tube) and migratory
(cranial) neural crest. Gene expression in the embryos shown is representative
of that observed in the pool of 4-to 16-somite embryos scored for each clone.
