The Raldh3 expression domain appears normal in the Pax6 mutant LGE (compare arrow in A with the wild type in Fig. 1A). However, Raldh3 expression in the Pax6;Gsh2 double mutant LGE is truncated, similar to that in the Gsh2 mutant LGE (compare arrow in B to that in Fig. 1B).
