In wild-type cells, two bands are found, which correspond in size, respectively, to full-length MYCDl (~105 kDa) and a truncated form (~50 kDa) which is smaller than the size expected for the Myc-tagged Dl extracellular domain (~75 kDa), but larger than that expected for the complementary Myc-tagged portion of Dl consisting of the transmembrane and cytosolic domains (~40 kDa). In lqf- cells, only the upper, apparently unprocessed, band is observed.
