As a negative control P7 SVZ RNA without reverse transcriptase was used (-). As control for RT-PCR, all genes were found to be expressed in dissected but non-cell-sorted SVZ pieces. As control for RNA recovery and amounts of cDNA, the levels of the housekeeping gene Hprt were measured.
