The relative expression values for each gene were normalized against one of the mRNA spikes. To display gene expression profiles graphically, each relative expression value was transformed to a logarithmic value. Cells with a value of higher than 0 were classified as red, between 0 and -1 as orange, between -1 and -2 as light orange, between -2 and -3 as yellow, between -3 and -4 as pale yellow, and lower than -4 as white. Black shows that gene expression was not detected.
