Binding was assessed by immunoprecipitating with anti-FLAG and blotting with anti-HA (lanes 1 and 2, top panel), or vice versa (lanes 3 and 4, top panel). Tomb and Aly co-immunoprecipitated; control assays showed no co-immunoprecipitation. Protein expression was assessed by western blotting of cell lysate (lower three panels). (B) EGFP-Tomb was immunoprecipited from Bam-GAL4-VP16, UAS-EGFP-Tomb transgenic testes and blotted with anti-Aly.
