At 9.5 dpc, recently formed somites are irregularly sized and shaped in Lfng{Delta}FCE1/{Delta}FCE1 embryos (bracket, B). At 10.5 dpc, mature somites in the thoracic region remain irregular in Lfng{Delta}FCE1/{Delta}FCE1 embryos with fused (arrow), small (*) and large (bracket) somites seen (D).
