Fig. 2. Abdominal development is delayed in Dm myb mutants. At specified timepoints (hours after puparium formation), the abdominal epidermis was dissected from females that had been raised at 18°C until puparium formation and then shifted to 24°C for continued development. Samples were stained with DAPI to visualize nuclei. Large nuclei represent larval polyploid cells; small nuclei correspond to the diploid nuclei of abdominal histoblast cells.
