Expression patterns of the GMR and dpp drivers in late third-instar larvae. Animals contained the dpp (A-C) or GMR (D-F) driver and a lacZ.nls responder (Jacobsen et al., 1998), and were stained for lacZ. For each driver, all three tissues were photographed from a single staining reaction. Shown are: wing disc (A), midgut (B,F), salivary glands (C), eye discs (D) and tracheal epithelium (E,F). No other tissues exhibited detectable staining.
