(A) hb9^KK30 homozygous mutant embryo displays two ectopic Eve-positive neurons per hemisegment. (B) hb9^KK30 nkx6^D25 homozygous mutant displays roughly six ectopic Eve-positive neurons per hemisegment. (C) hb9^KK30 mutant embryo after injection of ds nkx6 RNA. These embryos display a similar number of Eve-positive neurons to hb9 nkx6 mutants.
