The table on the right summarizes the activities of HtrA1 mutants to bind and inhibit Bmp4. The binding activity was designated as `+' when higher than 3% but less than 10% of input HtrA1 mutant protein was recovered by the GST pull-down assay, and `-' when the recovery was less than 1%.
