Supplemental Figure 1
-
Fig. S1. Zebrafish
embryos were injected at the 500-2000 cell stage with the pseudotyped
retroviral vectors CLGY and CLY. (A,B) Embryos infected with the promoterless
version of the vector (CLY) showed no expression of YFP. (C-E) Embryos infected
with the enhancer detection vector CLGY showed mosaic expression of YFP
throughout the body. Autofluorescence can be seen in the yolk and the yolk sac
extension. All pictures are oriented with anterior towards the left and dorsal
upwards. Embryos in A-D are 1 day old while the embryo in E is 3 days old.
Supplemental Figure 2

Fig. S2. Genomic
DNA from F2 siblings that have identical expression patterns of YFP was
subjected to LM-PCR to amplify the flanking sequence of integrated provirus.
The red arrow indicates the amplified fragment that is present in all selected
embryos (lane 1-6). Flanking sequences from provirus not transcriptional
activated will also be amplified (black arrow, line 3-5), but will not be
present in all YFP-positive embryos. Black arrowhead marks a PCR product from vector
sequence (positive internal PCR control).
