The outer segments are slanted sideways and the nuclear layer is more condensed in morphants (B) in comparison to segments in uninjected larvae (A) or control 4 bp mismatch Mo-injected larvae (A'). In pcdh15b morphants, pigments cell melanosomes are rarely present between photoreceptor outer segments (B,D).
