At E12.5, the anterior telencephalon was indistinguishable between Arx-deficient (B) and wild-type (A) mice. At E16.5 and P0, mutant OB (D,F) was smaller than wild-type OB (C,E). Note that there is a wide empty space between the left and right OB of mutant mouse (asterisks in D,F). Scale bars: in B, 500 µm for A,B; in F, 1 mm for C-F.
