Movie 1. There is an AV delay during the retrograde conduction of premature ventricular beats at 48 hpf, as revealed by fluorescence video microscopy of this zebrafish. The movie shows normal anterograde cardiac activation from the atrium to the ventricle for the first beat. The second and third beats are fusion beats, with activation of the heart from both the atrial and ventricular chambers. The fourth beat shows activation by a premature ventricular contraction that conducts to the atrium with clear slowing of the retrograde activation wave front as it passes through the AV ring.
Movie 2. The zebrafish mutant silent heart develops 2:1 AV block upon treatment with terfenadine, as revealed by fluorescence video microscopy.
