The mean values of 11.5 ±0.3 (spores) and 11.7 ±0.3 (cells) do not differ significantly. As vegetative cells are largely G2 (Weijer et al., 1984), it appears that the spores are also G2 under our conditions. (B) Nuclear DNA content of wild-type and A15::rblA cells, normalized to wild-type spores. A minor G2 population is present but the cells appear to be largely G1.
