(C). In Smo-Nes cko mutants, only the principle fissures form
in medial sections (D) and little foliation occurs in lateral sections
(E). This phenotype varies (D, inset). Gli2-Nes cko mutants
develop more fissures (arrow, F) than Gli2-En1 cko mutants
