By the 10-somite stage, Na,K-ATPase {alpha}2 (B) and Ncx4a (E) are expressed in a broad range of tissues including Kupffer's vesicle (kv, arrow). By the 24-somite stage, Na,K-ATPase {alpha}2 is expressed predominantly in the somites (C), whereas Ncx4a remains ubiquitous (F).
