The number of gonads used for quantification of a particular phenotype is given in parenthesis. Depending on how the gonads adhered to the glass surface, not all phenotypes could be quantified in the same gonad. Ambiguous-looking gonads were not included in the analysis. Scale bar: 50 µm.
