(A) Quantitative RT-PCR for expression of hedgehog network genes in glands of wild-type and MMTV-SmoM2 mice at 10 weeks of age. Data are plotted by gene as the −ΔΔCt in wild type versus lines 724 and 732, respectively. Closed symbols represent the mean value for the group and are connected by a solid line. A borderline statistically significant decrease in Ptch1 expression (ANOVA P=0.04) is denoted by an asterisk. However, neither line 724 nor 732 showed a significant difference from wild type in pairwise t-tests (P=0.93 and 0.10, respectively).
