  Fig. S1. Photoreceptor differentiation in Uba1 mutants. Eye imaginal discs were labeled with Elav, which marks photoreceptor neurons. (A) The weak allele Uba1^H42 displays normal photoreceptor differentiation, although ommatidial spacing is increased. Genotype: ey-Flp; FRT42 Uba1^H42/FRT42 Pubi-GFP. (B) Strong Uba1 alleles incubated at 29°C slightly delay the onset of photoreceptor differentiation. Genotype: ey-Flp; FRT42 Uba1^D6/FRT42 Pubi-GFP.
