(A-C) The Gurken signal (red) detected by the anti-Grk antibody mostly overlapped with the HRP signal (green) in the oocyte and posterior follicle cells in stage 7 egg chambers. However, some extra HRP punctate signals were detected in follicle cells (arrows in B,C). (D-I) Similarly, Gurken signals were all HRP positive in the oocyte and dorsal follicle cells in stage 9 egg chambers (D-F), but some HRP signals were Gurken negative in the dorsal and ventral follicle cells (arrows in D-F,I).
