About the Cover
Cover: Each panel shows metaphase I (top) and metaphase II (bottom) in male meiotic cells of the Arabidopsis atk1-1 mutant. The chromosomes (red, yellow or pink) are located near the equator of the spindles (green, black or blue), which are abnormal because of a lack of ATK1 kinesin function. For further details see article by C. Chen, A. Marcus, W. Li, Y. Hu, J.-P. Vielle Calzada, U. Grossniklaus, R. J. Cyr and H. Ma, in this issue, 2401-2409.
