About the Cover
Cover picture: Co-labeling of two same-class dendritic arborization (da) neurons in the peripheral nervous system of Drosophila using the MARCM system. The cells were immunolabeled with an antibody against mCD8, imaged on a confocal microscope, assembled as a montage in Adobe Photoshop, and colored to emphasize the property of tiling, that is, the non-overlapping innervation of the epidermis by cells of the same type. Axons are colored yellow. Tiling by these neurons suggests the presence of signals that allow like dendrites to selectively recognize each other. For further details see article by W. B. Grueber, L. Y. Jan and Y. N. Jan, in this issue pp. 2867-2878.
