About the Cover
Cover: Confocal image of the central nervous system of the Drosophila larva. Major neural networks are labeled with anti-Fasciclin II (red). Actin filaments are labeled with phalloidin (blue). Mushroom bodies are labeled with GFP (green) driven by a GAL4 line, 201Y. The axonal projections of the larval mushroom bodies are organized into layers in which newly born Kenyon cells project into the central core bundle to shift to more distal layers as they undergo further differentiation. For further details, see article by M. Kurusu, T. Awasaki, L. M. Masuda-Nakagawa, H. Kawauchi, K. Ito and K. Furukubo-Tokunaga, pp. 409-419.
