About the Cover
Cover: The tracheal system of Drosophila visualized by the staining of its nuclei (green) and the cell-surface marker Crumbs (purple). It is derived from invaginations of ectodermal epithelia that form a network of tubular epithelium, the apical surface of which faces inside (revealed by Crumbs localization). Rac aids this tubular remodeling by promoting turnover of the cadherin cell-adhesion system. See Chihara et al. in Development 130, 1419-1428.
